Welcome New DT

Well we had a wonderful turn out for the DT call
And we are saying goodbye to a few
Susan , Pam , Sharon , Jools
Please give a huge thank you and good luck to them ...
Now for the New Member's

Hi, Neil here I've been an artist/crafter all my life in one way shape or form and seriously into stamping, inking and mixed media for around 4 years now. Like many others, my route into this wonderful world of art was through Tim Holtz and Ranger inks and I was pretty instantly hooked. I was fortunate to be invited by Tim to attend Ranger University in 2012 to get my Ranger Educator Certification which was a major highlight. Other highlights have been the launch of my Book Cover Kits and Masks as well as rubber stamps. I love making books and art journaling, playing with textures and paints, sharing my ideas and knowledge and am looking forward to sharing my creative journey with you. I'm thrilled to be a part of That Craft Place Design Team.

Hi I'm Anne or Craftyanny to my blogginh buddies :)
I'm from Glasgow, married with two grown up children and luckily have a very tolerant hubby who doesn't mind me
disappearing for hours to my craft room.
I began card making around ten years ago now, and can't see me ever giving it up.  I'm happiest when I'm creating or
looking for inspiration through other blogs or Pinterest.

"Hi.. my name is Gayle and I live in Birmingham West Midlands with my husband Chris, daughter Bethany, son Josh and Pongo the dog! I have 2 older children Natasha and Mitchell who have both left home. Natasha kindly made me a Nanna at the ripe old age of 42 so I have a 2 year old grandson called Jacob who I adore.  I have been a Police Officer for 15 years and got promoted to Sergeant 4 years ago so I'm always busy in one way or another!

I started crafting nearly 2 years ago when I found myself with a couple of weeks off work and decided I needed a hobby so bought myself a tatty teddy stamping kit..and the rest, as they say.. is history.. I don't think I have a particular style..but stamping is my favourite thing to do and I just have fun playing with paper, ink and lots of embellishments! I was so happy to be asked to join the DT at That Craft Place and I hope to give you a little bit of inspiration with my creations."

Rebecca

Hello I am Becca, a wife to my wonderful husband (who has become, in his own words, ‘a crafters widow’ lol), a mum to two fabulous boys (ages 6 & 9).
I have my very own craft studio, which I am every so proud of.  I spend as many hours a week as I can creating and having lots of crafty, messy fun.  I have always loved crafting but only really took it up as a full time hobby in 2004, whilst on Maternity Leave with my oldest son.  Being up in the earlier hours with the night time feeds led me to the shopping channel QVC where I saw cardmaking being demonstrated and I thought ‘I could do that!’  The rest is history, my stash has grown and grown, so much so that now I have a whole room (my studio) in my parents’ house, the cupboard under our stairs could no longer hold all my stash.  I used to be referred to as the ‘Harry Potter’ crafter with my cupboard under the stairs J
I love to tackle any type of craft project and at the moment I am really enjoying altered art, canvases, mixed media and mini albums.  I love Shabby Chic, Vintage and Grunge most of my creations are a mix of these styles.  I am enthralled by YouTube and have learnt so many wonderful techniques from the massive array of crafty minded folks on there, to you all I am so very thankful.
My card making has evolved over the past 9 years from basic to much more elaborate creations.  I love nothing more than the challenge of creating a card for that special someone and I often get orders and requests for special one off cards.  Wedding Stationary is yet another feather in my cap and I love the feeling of satisfaction on completion of orders, everything has to be just so.  I have also just started holding my own Paper Crafting Evening Classes locally, where I am teaching others some tips and techniques of the wonderful world of Crafting.

Rachel . GDT

My name is Rachel Fisher and I'm a 45 year old busy stay at home mum. My girls are currently 7 and 5 - they are Lucy and Penny and mean the world to me. I'm very happily married to Shaun who is a professor of physics and manages to put up with my need to disappear into my craft space most evenings! When not ferrying my children around I run, do aerobics, run the gardening club at school, chair the PTA and run a pack of rainbows. When there's time I love to craft - cards and altered art - I seem to be spending more and more time on the altered art stuff these days but I still enjoy making cards!

Lisa Sumpter

My name is Lisa and I live in Leicestershire, England with my hubby and fur-baby. I love being surrounded by pretty papers, pretty stamps and colouring mediums. I have been crafting since Jan 2010 after seeing a video on YouTube and being amazed. I've been addicted ever since. My crafting style is clean and simple and I enjoy making cards and 3D items.

A BIT ABOUT ME:
My name is Lisa and I live in Wigan in Lancashire and I’m currently a full-time mummy to two daughters, one aged 3 and one aged 12 months. I decided to turn my garage in to my craft room/studio in early 2013 as I was demoted from the spare bedroom when my second daughter came along!

The garage come craft room was renamed the “craf-age” and is where I spend most evenings.

I have always had a love of art since I was a tiddler and decided to pursue this passion throughout my education. I completed my degree in 2002 after finishing my Art A‘level and Art foundation courses.

I love any type of craft and art, particularly what I call ‘messy’ crafting. I adore, painting, inking and heat embossing, and anything that has a surprise element such as gilding flakes, shrink plastic and melt pot art. I have tried my hands at most crafts but always tend go back to the inky stuff!

My particular style of crafting is grungy, antiquey, distress, oldy-worldy style. I love using mixed media, recycled materials and have a passion for altered art.

I sometimes do what I call, a crafty twist, concentrating on colouring with ProMarkers, layering papers etc, which I call a ‘clean’ crafting, but then can’t resist adding just a little bit of ink!!

I love sharing my ideas and knowledge with other people and in return learning new things from them.

Hi, I'm kay.
i have just turned the big 50, i have 3 beautiful kids and a fabulous
hubby, oh and 2 totaly spoilt cats, i have lived in london all my life,
but would love to be by the sea...
I've been an artist/crafter for as long as i can remember. i just love
to create something from nothing, i love to do mixed media, upcycled
projects, cardmaking , crochet knitting, well anything crafty realy.
i adore pretty girly crafting through to grungy messy steampunk, but i
have to admit i hate making mens cards.
i see no difference in the finest old master painting and a creation
someone has done with a simple topper or digi stamp, we are each and
ever one of us an artist.
i am privelaged to work on a few design teams, and fortunate enough to
be able to spend my time doing what i love.. crafting !
